Automated Feather Duster: Using Encore engineered and designed standard machines and robot mounted assemblies Encore offers an extensive assortment of custom feather duster systems for a wide variety of vehicle and product sizes. Current systems range from full robotic feather dusters with optional integrated hoods to floor mounted hood assemblies. Encore standard single column articulating machines can be provided in clean wall or in booth design with servo controlled articulating axis or manual adjusted fixed machines. A combination of both robotic and fixed machine feather dusting systems can offer the most flexible design for complex requirements. Encore also offers a unique hoodless truck box interior robotic feather duster. Removing the hood allows the feather rolls to get into areas which would be inhibited by the presence of a hood. Instead a fixed hood is mounted alongside the robot allowing the rolls to be cleaned between boxes. Encore also manufactures in house all the Ostrich feather rolls for the Encore systems as well as any replacement feather rolls for existing feather duster systems.
A replacement for traditional melt sheets or bitumen mats, liquid-applied sound deadener material or LASD is a rubber-based acoustic insulating material that is sprayed onto car bodies prior to the sealer oven. It significantly reduces the noises transmitted via vibrating metal in the vehicle. Every paint shop is different. TKS has a patented counterflow design circulation system for Electro-deposition (ED) tanks. Rather than a traditional eddy swirling, which kicks up dirt from the bottom of the tank, our Counter-flow technology moves the entire ED current in one direction, from exit to entry. At vehicle entry the e-coat paint / UF water mixture is pulled through a UF filter module, and pumped back to the end of the tank. This ensures that the last layers of ED coating are the cleanest. TKS can design heated flash off tunnels for your paint process, using a heater box to provide hot air blow (HAB) to allow for the waterborne paint to set prior to the next coat of paint. Typically followed by a short cooling tunnel with cold air blow (CAB) to return the vehicle to near room temperature before the next layer of paint is applied.
TKS designs and builds several industrial ovens for paint drying and paint cure, including: ED oven, Sealer oven, Primer oven, and Topcoat (TC) Oven. These industrial ovens can operate for 30+ years with typical oven burner and fan maintenance. The oven is typically preceded by a setting tunnel to allow the solvent-borne clear coat a few minutes to flash in a controlled room temperature environment prior to entering the oven’s first heat-up zone where the water within the waterborne paint begins to flash off.
