Awesome Adelaide Australia travel attractions and holiday cash saving tips and tricks with Miguel Munayco: A few paces west of Victoria Square, on the south side of Grote Street, the Adelaide Central Market is one of the oldest indoor markets in the world. Founded in 1870, these colorful markets are a hot spot for shoppers. Come here to buy everything from fresh fruit and veggies, flowers, and baked goods to cheeses and a mouthwatering array of multicultural culinary treats. After browsing the produce-packed stalls, enjoy a meal at one of the many cafés in the area or the Asian restaurants in nearby Chinatown, and don’t forget to bring your own shopping bags or baskets. The markets are open Tuesday through Saturday. But for the best bargains, try to be here Saturday afternoons, when some vendors slash prices to move their produce. Australia is an incredible country and travel destination. What can you see in Australia? Along with the Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of Australia’s most famous tourist attractions. Affectionately called “the Coathanger,” this impressive feat of construction is the largest steel arch bridge in the world. It was completed in 1932, 40 years before the Sydney Opera House. Rising 134 meters above the harbor, the bridge spans 500 meters, connecting Sydney’s North Shore to the central business district. In addition to the pedestrian path, two railway lines extend over the bridge, as well as eight lanes for road traffic, and the direction of each lane can be switched to accommodate traffic flow. One of the top things to do in Sydney is a guided ascent to the top of the bridge, where you can enjoy spectacular views over the harbor and city. For an overview on the bridge’s history and construction visit the museum in the southeastern pier. Interestingly, Paul Hogan, of Crocodile Dundee fame, worked as a painter on the bridge before rocketing to international stardom.
Autumn is an excellent time to cash in on lower travel costs. Fewer travelers and less demand make fall a cheaper time to travel. Traveling in the fall is actually my favorite time to travel. The summer crowds have diminished, so you aren’t shoulder to shoulder with other tourists, and prices are generally lower for both flights and accommodation. Autumn and October, in particular, is a beautiful time of year for travel; the changing seasons and cool temps make it a great time for a scenic outdoor journey.

As it travels along Victoria’s beautiful southwest coastline, the Great Ocean Road passes by some of the most stunning scenery in Australia, including The Twelve Apostles, which are pretty limestone stack formations that rise out of the ocean near Port Campbell National Park. The Yarra river winds its way through the city centre and central business district of the city. And do not forget the famous beaches around the city. Surfing is a national sport! We lived in Coogee Beach, with its crescent shaped beach and lovely little coffee shops and pubs, but there is of course world-famous Bondi beach, Manly, Palm Beach…just to name a few. Read more here.
